The Kraken finished up their initial day of Free Agency, which featured some highs and lows, by getting a number of players to help bolster the ranks of the Coachella Valley Firebirds; whom are experiencing a bit of talent drain.

To replenish this, they picked up Ex-Avalanche/Duck Ben Meyers, Ex-Hab Mitchell Stephens, Ex-Sabre Brandon Biro, Ex-Leaf Max Lajoie, and AHL Lifer Nikolas Brouillard.

As you can see, all but Mitchell Stephens is on year long contracts worth $775,000. Given that all of them spent their time in the AHL last year, it’s expected that many of them are here to push the rookies to excel, while also providing veteran leadership for the Firebirds for the upcoming year.

We welcome Ben, Brandon, Mitchell, Max, and Nikolas to The Deep! And also The Desert!
