2024-25 Kraken Season Schedule Announced!

Kraken Hockey may be a few months out, but that’s no reason not to get excited by knowing the schedule, and so the NHL’s released all upcoming schedules for each team, with the Kraken putting together a helpful calendar on their website, as well as their social media feeds:

Features/Quirks of the schedule

  • The season begins on October 8th at home against the St. Louis Blues as the early game; starting at 1:30pm PT.
  • The longest homestands of the year happen in October, November, and Late January/Early February; each 5 games long.
  • Their longest road trips are later in the season; there’s one before January’s homestand, and in April; both are about 5 games long.
  • If you’re annoyed by early starts, don’t worry! there’s only 2 before noon…but they are doozies. The earliest game is against the Flyers at 9:30am PT in March, with a similar Eastern Conference matinee set for the New York Rangers at 10am. Mercifully, both are weekend games.
  • The Kraken only play the Kings once before the new year; with nearly all of their games against Los Angeles set for after the ball drops.
  • Our immediate neighbors to the north in Vancouver are also nearly a 2025 only team; with one game in December set between the two.
  • The Kraken only have to play Vegas and Anaheim three times throughout the season, all other teams in-division are 4 games apiece, though they burn through half of their Sharks games in a single long weekend in late November on a home-and-home with the morbund bay team and nearly two thirds of their Ducks games that same week.
  • Seattle plays the “”””New””””ly born Utah [REDACTED]s thrice; in December, and then does the sensible thing of waiting several months to come back in the new year towards the end of the season.
  • Speaking of back-to-backs, the Kraken are due for a LOT of them, especially on the road. Conditioning staff are gonna be tested sorely this year.

All in all? Decent Schedule. I’m not jazzed about all the back to backs, but I think they can handle it
