Game 7 awaits, but only if the Firebirds want it enough.
Games 4 and 5 featured poor penalty killing and a level of turtling that is unbecoming of Coachella Valley. The Bears made it clear they did not want to be denied, and played as tight a game as you can without getting a shutout. That’s what sets up this game back in Hershey; a building they have notoriously struggled in.
It is a struggle they’ll have to overcome if they want to keep their dreams of glory alive. The blueprint is as it has always been; attack the net, force the defense to come get you, take advantage of their turnovers, make Hunter Shepard uncomfortable.
They can absolutely beat this team.
They just have to show they want to.
